How to read the condition bar
Every product page shows a condition bar with five steps. The more gold steps, the less wear the piece shows. Below you will find exactly what each level means and what you can expect to see. Condition only describes wear: every piece, from Like New to Worn, is authenticated before it is listed.
Like New
A piece that shows no visible signs of use, or has been carried only a handful of times. The shape is full, the corners are clean and the hardware still has its original shine. As close to a boutique purchase as vintage gets.
- No visible wear on canvas or leather
- Corners and edges fully intact
- Hardware with original shine
- Clean interior without marks
- Leather trim still light or evenly aged
Excellent
A beautifully kept piece with only the slightest traces of use, often only visible on close inspection. It looks and feels almost new, with the first hint of the character that makes vintage special.
- Very faint marks, visible up close
- Light, even patina starting on leather trim
- Minimal surface scratches on hardware
- Structure and shape fully intact
- Interior clean with at most a tiny mark
Very Good
A piece with minor signs of wear that tell a bit of its story, while its overall condition remains outstanding. The kind of vintage that looks polished and ready to be worn every day.
- Light rubbing on corners
- Honey-coloured patina on leather trim
- Small surface scratches on hardware
- Slight softening of the shape
- Minor marks inside the bag
Good
A piece with visible signs of use and age, and plenty of charm. Every mark is described in the listing and shown in the photos, so you know exactly what you receive.

- Softer, relaxed shape

Worn
A piece that clearly shows its long history, and is priced accordingly. Ideal if you love authentic vintage character or are looking for a bag to make your own. All wear is described in the listing and clearly shown in the photos.

- Dark patina, stains or light cracking on leather
- Noticeable wear on hardware
- Wear, marks or repairs on the interior
- Any repairs or restorations are always mentioned
